I have used China silk extensively for linings. It’s thin and lightweight. And while it’s surface is slippery, it’s not nearly as drapey — or as difficult to work with — as a charmeuse or crepe de chine. I personally find it too lightweight for a blouse, although it would make yummy feeling sleepwear. Like most silk, it’s washable, although check a swatch since the color might bleed and the hand will change slightly.

This is a wonderful deep, clear purple color.
