This is a really beautiful lightweight stretch silk charmeuse. The face is shiny, and the back is matte — use whichever side you prefer. The color is a warm flesh-tone with a slight rosy undercast. The fabric is ideal for lining a garment where you want the lining to have some give and stretch. Because the fabric is thin and so pliable, it would make a fabulous dress or garment that has a lot of gathering or pleating. Silk charmeuse can be successfully laundered by hand or on a gentle wash cycle and a cool dryer setting, although you will lose the pristine surface of the charmeuse.
