At first, I thought this might be a tweed, but I think it’s a basket weave (plain weave with thicker thread) that is made with black and a variegated thread that goes from off-white to dull pink, to dark turquoise — all sorts of color tones in this range. The fabric has a bit of structure without being stiff. This would make a very fun vest because of all the colors you could wear with it. I’m also seeing a jacket with sweater knit sleeves. Or maybe shorts or a split skirt?
