This gorgeous wide trim is made of cross-woven lightweight tafetta (bright red and black), which produces rosettes that have a blackened effect. I had gotten it to make a wide belt. You can leave the wiring in, but the wiring can easily be pulled and removed if you prefer. Rather than making a separate belt, it would make a wonderful inset on a garment, whether that was at the waist or in another location on the garment.
