This saturated gauze / mesh is so interesting. It’s open weave with a coarse thread that has texture without being at all scratchy. As is, it’s stiff and completely holds its shape. I washed a small swatch to see if it got softer, and indeed it softened some, so I suspect that it has sizing to make it so crisp. What to do with it??? To my eye, it’s very pretty layered over white or another light color. So I’d be inclined to underline it, and use it as a component in a garment, or else make a simple cut-on-sleeve shell.
